I'm a stop-motion animator and video editor living in the San Francisco Bay Area. I'm interested in using my passion for time-based media to help companies and non-profits communicate ideas to the public with content that piques curiosity and prompts engagement.
I produce videos, stop motion animation, time lapses and original music. For commissions, business inquiries or collaboration opportunities please get in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org!
I have a BFA in Animation and History of Art from Massachusetts College of Art & Design in Boston, MA. While there I was lucky enough to travel to Kyoto to spend a semester as the first exchange student between MassArt and Kyoto University of Art & Design in Kyoto, Japan.
While in Boston I worked in various capacities at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, including serving as their Interim Concert Manager, and as a Collection Care Technician in the Conservation Department.
An interest in art, science and history led me to pursue other art conservation opportunities and I spent one memorable summer treating 17th century headstones (and the occasional footstone) at the historic Eliot Burial Ground in Roxbury, MA. It was a fascinating window into life and loss in early American history.
I have an avid interest in Japanese culture and I'm conversational in the language. I spent 5 months studying abroad in Kyoto in 2011 and my interest has only deepened since. If you're interested here is my Japanese blog on Ameblo.
